-Development of sampling and production pattern as well as Showpieces -Liaising personally with designers during fittings providing input for experimental garment ideas. - Developing new pattern: manual pattern cuttingdigitalpattern cutting using Gerber - Creating new patterns, working on already existing patterns, alterations, etc. - Digitizing paper pattern - Suggesting finishing solutions - Finalising production pattern, including technical information - Grading and markermaking knowledge advantageous - Printing and providing patterns for further development for the design departments - Communication with production company/digital pattern cutter (exchanging pattern, problem solving etc.) - Maintaining the pattern archive(paper and digital) - Working collaboratively with other pattern cutters, tailors, cutters - Problem solving with machinists to establish best method of construction for experimental garments - Maintaining a high level of quality control for pattern and garmentswithin the studio and at a production level - Ability to work under extreme pressure and extended hours leading up to fashion shows - Attending Production fittings Skills / - Capability to work with minimum supervisor - Attending all bespoke fittingsExperience:- Experience in pattern cutting - minimum of 5 years in a similar technical role focusing on womenswear, including pattern making for corsets and dresses - Fashion related studies - Very good working knowledge of Gerber pattern-making software - In-depth understandingof different fabric shape and fit - Experience in creative pieces with a deep knowledge for the fashion show onesSkills: - Excellent time management and organisation skills - Strong communicator - Confident working in a fast-paced environment and ableto prioritise projects
