Senior Consultant - European Custom Solutions and Consulting

IDC Europe is actively seeking a Senior Consultant to join its European Custom Solutions and Consulting Team. The successful candidate will position, develop and drive custom research, advisory, and go-to-market projects for the technology vendor and partnerlandscape. The bespoke engagements that IDC European Consulting delivers address Technology Suppliers internally focused Strategy Development, Planning and Measurement needs as well as their market-facing activities in the form of Thought Leadership ContentMarketing and Sales Enablement programs.For clarity, this is not a technology implementation consulting role. Candidates without prior research, custom research, or advisory backgrounds will not be considered. Responsibilities The successful candidate will play a key role in pitching and scoping projects to meet customer needs as well as steering the delivery of these projects to a high level of quality and client satisfaction, by working closely with IDC subject matter expertsand the consulting project management team.The successful candidate will drive consulting opportunity development with IDCs account management team by:

• Creating and Presenting/Pitching project ideas based on client requirements and new/emerging market trends
• Getting Senior Stakeholders within the Vendor Community excited about working with IDC Consulting.
• Driving solution and proposal development by architecting bespoke project solutions working closely with the client and other IDC stakeholders and communicating the business value of these projects to clients
• Leverage his/her experience and IDCs knowledge base to drive high-impact deliverables and content creation during project delivery and steer client conversations.
• Work with IDC Consulting and Analyst Team to further develop IDCs consulting practices and develop new consulting frameworks and IP.

Qualifications The successful candidate will possess:

• Strong Go-to-Market Consulting experience gained through at least 5-8 years of experience with a Technology Analyst or Strategy Consulting firm
• Candidates must have a good understanding of the Technology Industry and Supplier Ecosystem and how it is evolving:
  • This knowledge will include an understanding of the key dynamics in the business user landscape which will enable the successful candidate to provide guidance on how market trends are likely to affect IDCs Technology Supplier and Telecom Services, clients.
  • A macro-level understanding of a broad set of technology topics and themes such as Enterprise Networking and Communications, IoT, Edge, 5G, and Telco Digital Transformation.
• The ability to bring productive energy and intellectual leadership to cross-disciplinary project teams consisting of analyst subject matter experts and other IDC resources to bring the best out of the analysis and custom insights generated on projects.
• Strong analytical skills and writing ability are required for this position as well as the ability to present solution proposals and project findings confidently to senior audiences.
• Exceptional written and verbal English skills are required; another European language is an advantage but is not essential.
