Prospectus is delighted to be working with The Climate Group to recruit a Senior Communications Officer who will play a critical role in driving and implementing their international media and communications strategy. The Climate Group has a clear goal to create a world of net zero carbon emissions by 2050, with a greater prosperity for all. Â Since Covid-19, the team has been working remotely with the option to use their Borough office for key meetings, they will be moving into new London premises this year. The overall purpose of this role is to drive the growth of their external profile, take responsibility for building relationships with key journalists, analyse media work and benchmark performance and be the main point of contact for day to day enquires. You will also manage the communication programme of their new SteelZero campaign, including producing high quality visuals, videos and written content. Continuously developing key corporate communications, contributing to fundraising bids and supporting in-house colleagues is also a big part of this role. To be successful in this role, you will have substantial experience in building and maintaining media relationships, confident using analytics when making evidence-based recommendations and have proven success in supporting impactful campaigns. You will be outcome driven and comfortable managing competing deadlines and workloads. An interest in climate change/sustainability in hugely desirable.
