Job Description

Your Role You will help lead IHS Markits coverage of clean energy, climate and sustainability to include corporate strategy, infrastructure projects, technology, policy, ESG investment and more. Coverage will range from how commodity markets and assetportfolios are being shaped by the move to zero carbon and what energy sectors and companies are most affected by emerging trends and policies. You will be part of a small team of journalists producing content for a dynamic, intraday news service that leveragesand integrates IHS Markit energy data and research. IHS Markits energy news services have a broad client base with diverse interests in clean energy, power, renewables, financials, natural gas and environmental markets. Key responsibilities include: Coveringand reporting on all facets of climate and sustainability. Serving as lead and specialist for the clean energy and climate beat in Asia, liaising with a global team of colleagues to ensure that coverage is comprehensive and timely. Leverage contacts in theindustry in order to gain unique insight that will enhance IHS Markits market-leading reputation. Working with data, maps and research that add value to the coverage. Writing breaking news and feature stories. Attending industry conferences. About You Youare a great enterprise reporter able to identify industry trends and to leverage available data and research to add value to your articles. Key Qualifications and Skills: At least 3 years of experience as a full-time reporter/writer for a business news serviceAble to write clean, accurate copy that needs very little editing, sometimes on tight deadlines. Able to develop news sources and other key relationships within the industry that are helpful in understanding important issues.
