The ClientAn established and widely known Wealth Management firm servicing Investment Management needs to High-Net-Worth Clients.The RoleThe Senior Client Onboarding Manager will assist in leading a team by providing specialist AML guidance to the Front Office and the rest of the team. The role will involve delegation of team work load, improving processes and workflow management.The Senior Client Onboarding Manager will have oversight of new accounts taking risk based decisions limiting the firm’s risk exposure, and will assess AML risk factors and ensure that all relevant Client Due diligence documentation is in place and thatappropriate EDD measures have been taken for High Risk clientsThe Senior Client Onboarding Manager will have oversight of electronic verification searches and screening on client types, identify possible PEPs, and red flags and provide rationale and demonstrate that appropriate risk mitigating measures are being adheredto and evidenced.The Senior Client Onboarding Manager will chair and attend a committee to present High Risk clients for senior management approval and will refer and agree action on any non-compliance of CDD requirements following such referral to the MLRO/ DMLRO/ Headof CDDThe Senior Client Onboarding Manager will be the contact point for CDD Onboarding matters and deputise for the Head of CDD when necessary.The Senior Client Onboarding Manager will contribute to internal and external audit and compliance reviews working on suggested enhancements where agreed, and will review and suggest improvements to the CDD Onboarding process, ensuring any regulatory changesby the DMLRO are implemented appropriately.The Senior Client Onboarding Manager will contribute to ad hoc CDD/EDD projects and AML related duties and support MI reporting for committees and Management Groups related to CDD and Financial Crime.The Senior Client Onboarding Manager will be responsible for the team’s performance reviews and feedback, oversee team absences including holidays and sickness, and will be the mentor and coach to oversee development of the individual and the team as a whole.The Candidate+ 3 years experience in a similar role with good knowledge of FCA rules relating to AML and JMLSG and CDD due diligence dealing with High Risk clients.Understanding of how systems and processes support the CDD requirements of a Wealth Management Business.Team Management experience – or a willingness to step into this function (having mentored more junior members of the team)Good regulatory awarenessIdeally an ICA qualification in AML/Financial crimeTeam management experience preferred but not essential.Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skillsEfficient with good risk-based approach
