Job Description

Brand new opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to join a leading organisation as a Senior Buyer - Indirects. This role will be responsible for centralising Indirect spend for the business - analysing the current data and negotiating contractswith suppliers.Key Responsibilities of the Senior Buyer - Indirects;

  • Manage all company indirect spend including parts, services, energy, tooling & facilities.
  • Target cost saving & consolidation opportunities in the indirect categories whilst maintaining quality and service.
  • Analyse the current Indirect spend and look for opportunities to save costs in line with the business KPIs.
  • Drive and develop a reliable and robust supply chain for alternatively sourced parts and services.
  • Develop and implement contracts and long-term agreements.
  • Manage bids and tenders for all contracting work.
  • Develop and introduce KPIs throughout the indirect categories.
  • Management of contracts ensuring supplier KPIs are maintained.
Personal Specification of the Senior Buyer - Indirects;
  • Degree and / or CIPS qualification would be preferred.
  • Proven Procurement & Category Management experience.
  • Broad Indirect Category Procurement experience.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise workload.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
This role would also suit you if you have held a role within purchasing or procurement as a Senior Buyer, Purchasing Controller, Commodity Manager, Sourcing Manager, Category Manager, Supplier Manager.
