As the Global Transformation & Change (GT&C) Senior Business Manager you will support the Global Head of Change in managing their global and regional responsibilities. This includes support in managing both the GT&C Department and the global change agenda for us, including ownership and delivery of business initiatives as directed. In addition, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing arrangements with external consultants and vendors, representing GT&C and the Global Head of Change at relevant governance forums and boards, understanding the global change operating model anddriving through continuous improvement, taking a proactive role in stakeholder management and be responsible for the departments people strategy. As part of the GT&C leadership team, the role will also have broader management and leadership expectations across Columbia Threadneedle e.g., talent development, diversity and inclusion, culture etc. Role Responsibilities Own and control Department financials; planning, monitoring of actuals vs plan, understanding and management of external costs (including validation of contractor/consultant costs to contracts and fee schedules) feeding outputs into MI, performance reviewsand planning process Support the Global Head of Change in development of the Department practices and continuous improvement, including maintaining deliverables plans and tracking these to completion. Ownership and resolution of department issues and exceptions from across the business, including understanding the nature and implications of items raised and provide proposals for next steps/resolution. Support delivery of corporate and policy obligations of the GT&C Department including Business T, Model Governance, Vendor Risk Assessments, BCP updates, RCSA refresh, Procurement, Access certifications, attestation schedules, Distribution list and foldermanagement etc. Maintain, develop and report on department priorities Partner across the enterprise including Corporate support groups, such as HR, Finance, Legal, and Communications, to ensure delivery of key priorities in support of the organizations effectiveness, including budget management, organizational goals and tracking.Partner with the Business in preparing for mid-year and year end submissions, talent assessments, etc Proactive member of the GT&C Leadership team providing challenge to programs, projects, reporting, risks, issues and their proposed resolution Represent Global Head of Change in governance forums, board meetings, and with key stakeholders as required, including the production of written reports/presentations and verbal updates/presentations. Take ownership to prepare materials, reporting and agendas for a variety of meetings, such as board presentations, regular business line reviews, Leadership Team meetings, Town Halls and extended leadership team meetings. Arrange speakers and coordinate schedulingof facilities and audio/visual needs. Ensure engagement of many audiences and geographies Maintain working knowledge of our change model and roadmap and how this applies to our firm globally. Advocate for the GT&C change model including helping global stakeholders understand the model, their roles and responsibilities and soliciting periodic feedback from key stakeholder groups Support Global Head of Change in their leadership role e.g. membership of Columbia Threadneedle leadership and governance forums, industry and/or regulatory working groups/forums etc. Promote engagement across Ameriprise with complimentary functions e.g. AWM and I&A Change Departments, Procurement, VRA and other areas relevant to change management Management of third-party arrangements including contract approvals, invoicing, overseeing the delivery of services/performance of the provider and management of any conflicts of interest across third parties. Support broader business initiatives e.g. external forums (attendance and hosting), D&I initiatives, talent development, Return to Office, IA committees, external speaker series/panels etc. including using this as an opportunity to develop our staff Support the Global Head of Change in delivering on GHG and GT&C led initiatives as agreed; this could involve, for example, financial assessment of required change, review of target operating models and workflows, long range change plans, elements of CTIstrategy. Support the cascade of information across the GT&C Department leadership and teams as appropriate. Key CapabilitiesTo be successful in this role you will have...

  • Significant experience in change, programme & project management across Asset Management/Financial services, demonstrating an excellent record of achievement in leading high-performing teams to deliver business value in line with required strategic outcomes.
  • Ability to maintain complex vendor relationships, balancing the fostering of excellent working relationships with policing and driving performance improvements against agreed targets.
  • Ability to think cross functionally from both a regional and global perspective. Be able to think tactically, strategically, creatively and drive innovation and change with a focus on continuous improvement.
