Team / division overview :Based in the London office, the primary focus of this role is to provide Business Line Compliance advisory support to the Traditional and Distribution divisions of DWS UK. Reporting to the Senior Team Lead, the successful candidate will assist with providingpassive product compliance and AFC support to DWS Investments UK. DWS Hybrid Working model in the UK is designed to find the right balance between in-person collaboration and engagement in the office, which is core to our working culture, and working from home. Employees who wish to sign-up to our Hybrid Working model arerequired to work in the office two days a week, and given the flexibility to work from home for the remaining three. This will not affect your application and your recruitment team will discuss options with you. As a Senior business advisor - your responsibilities will be:Your key responsibilities: Product:

• Advice, risk identification and challenge on regulatory and general issues relating to a broad range of compliance-related issues, including in relation to UCITS and MiFID II rules;
• Identifying business training needs and delivery of materials and training on regulatory matters or developments in policies and procedures. This includes induction training for new joiners and one to one training initiatives;
• Fund compliance support and provision of compliance advice on development and launch of new products linked to the DWS Passive platform including appropriateness, reputational risk and distribution considerations;

AFC

• Liaison across the broader Compliance and AFC team on AFC issues identified through advisory activities and regulatory/internal audit reviews.
• Manage AFC escalation issues within the UK for the divisions covered
• Participate within AML related projects or represent the UK AML team at business led initiatives

General

• Maintain knowledge in the regulatory environment and key developments and provide support in advising the DWS Investments UK business and Compliance colleagues globally on applicable regulatory developments;
• Assist with the design and completion of a risk based Compliance Monitoring Plan.
• Compliance assessments and control frameworks.
• Support regulatory change identification and implementation processes, and provide advice to DWS Businesses, Infrastructure and Compliance colleagues globally on applicable UK regulatory developments.
• Support and/or lead the wider DWS UK Compliance team with any projects or initiatives that arise.

Your skills and experience:

Deep knowledge of compliance and AFC in UCITS funds, broader compliance and regulatory matters.

Significant previous experience in ETFs, ETCs and active funds and the distribution of such funds.

Ability to generate innovative ideas and challenge the status quo

An ability to work autonomously and to tight deadlines whilst achieving high quality outputs
