Job Description

Senior AV Engineer - £35,000 - £45,000 (Dependent on experience) + Overtime + Benefits An opportunity is available with an expanding AV Integration company based in London who specialise in audio visual and home automation control systems to the prime residential market.Variety of projects ranging from home cinemas to full scale home automation systems covering multi-room audio systems, lighting control, media distribution, IT/ networking, CCTV and security, access control, blind & curtain control, outdoor lighting, pool lighting, climate control & energy management control systems.You may also be given the opportunity to work on some projects in the commercial sector.Working with architects, developers and end user clients on projects of varying size and complexity both in London, South East England and Internationally. As their projects incorporate much more than just AV systems you will be involved on projects with other specialist trade professionals.The RoleWorking as the Senior Engineer on projects at various client sites as per the needs of the business you will mostly be working as part of a team. The role will also involve working automonously at smaller sites, leading small teams of 1-2 and also working as part of a larger team on occassion as requried by the projects.

  • 2nd fix, final fix and configuring systems
  • Testing and terminating of cables, installation of head-ends
  • Rack builds.
  • Installation of home cinemas, hanging TVs, specialist hidden wall & ceiling speakers.
  • Lighting control systems
  • CCTV, Security & Access systems
  • Installing and configuring touch pannels.
  • Robust premium WiFi/Broadband and IT networks.
  • Problem solving, testing and troubleshooting.
  • Installing/ programming and working with various tech - Control4, Crestron, Lutron, KNX, Savant, Draytek
    • Key Skills/ ExperienceMy client seeks a knowledgeable engineer with a proven track record and history of working within the AV/ high-end bespoke installation industry.
  • Excellent all-round knowledge of AV systems is essential.
  • Experience of working on high-end residential systems
  • Any experience with Crestron, Lutron, Control4, Savant or KNX highly desireable
  • Experience and knowledge of IP/ Data networks, Broadband & Wifi
  • Strong testing and trouble shooting skills - able to confidently make decisions on site
  • An understanding of the importance of working to the highest standards
  • A personable demeanour and flexible communicator to communicate with end clients, engineers and sub-contractors on site

  • Salary of £35,000 - £45,000 which is negotiable and dependent on experience
