Job Description

Serving as project leader on a wide array of projects and assignments. Being the key strategist and architect of the client deliverables by applying real estate and capital markets knowledge to develop compelling conclusions: Independently design clientdeliverables, including story-lining of slide decks and coming up with ideas for individual exhibits based on existing Green Street research and/or new research. Independently author textual elements of client presentations and other deliverables e.g. executivesummaries, bullet point descriptions of graphs and quantitative data etc, and collaborate with/instruct Associate level colleagues to complete such tasks. Managing the project team which is usually comprised of one or more Associates: Mentor/oversee Associatelevel colleagues during slide design phase and while creating quantitative analyses and exhibits. Perform audits/checks of graphs, quantitative analyses and textual deliverables produced by Associate level colleagues and take responsibility for correctnessof deliverables. Be willing and able to step down one level as required and independently perform Associate level work such as slide production, graphing, financial modelling and internet research. Acting as a sounding board and idea generator to Associatesas they execute the technical aspects of project execution. Conducting informal mentoring sessions with Associates. Demonstrating strong presentation skills, both internally and externally. Managing client facing processes: Taking responsibility to arrangeand lead client meetings during the pitch/marketing phase as well as during live projects. Managing and anticipating client expectations within the context of an engagement. Managing and promoting strong client working team relationships. Closely followingand understanding real estate private-equity markets, private real estate fund formations and investment activity and public REIT market activity to augment advisory work product and business development initiatives. Play an active and effective role seekingnew business opportunities: Design project scope documents, while taking into account both client requirements and availability of "off the shelf" research/resources in an effort to minimise new work required. Conduct in-depth industry research using internet/desktopanalysis and actively reaching out to relevant industry participants. Instructing and mentoring junior team members on effective industry research Selectively attend industry events such as EPRA, MIPIM To be successful in the role, we are looking for the followingattributes: A Bachelors or Masters degree with high distinction in finance, accounting, real estate, economics or a related field. Strong analytical skills and a background in REIT/listed company analysis either from an equity research, IB role or similar.Demonstrated track record of conducting private and public market real estate industry research. Strong MS Excel, financial modelling, and valuation skills: 5-10 years experience in conducting financial/economic analysis, building financial models and/orvaluing publicly traded securities. Multi-year background in financial statement analysis. Deep finance, capital markets and valuation knowledge. The ability to multi-task and manage staff and projects effectively. Highly detail focused with a strong attentionto detail Strong English language writing skills with experience in authoring textual elements of client deliverables, proposals, and engagement letters. Exceptional project and personnel management skills: experience instructing & managing Associates, detailederror-checking of work and "signing off/owning" projects. Strong client-facing and presentation skills: poised and marketing-minded with an aspiration to expand marketing/business development focus. An eye for visual design, including experience with story-liningof strategy consulting/IB-style client decks and design of simple and visually appealing presentations. A high degree of organization, creativity, and resourcefulness. A strong work ethic and motivation to learn. Entrepreneurial and self-starter attitude.Familiarity either with 1) Green Streets methodology or 2) a similar NAV-focused valuation approach is a plus. Investment banking, private equity, strategy consulting, or financial due diligence/transaction support experience in the big 4 is a plus.
