Delivering Deal Value - Senior Associate (Technology, Media & Telecom)About the teamDelivering Deal Value (DDV) is a market leading team sitting within PwCs Consulting business, assisting both Corporate and Private Equity (PE) clients in a wide range of high impact business situations. The M&A deals we work on range in size from £50m to over £10bn and our clients include the most well-known businesses and brands in the world.Our team comprises approximately 200 people from a wide range of backgrounds and disciplines. We recruit proactively from industry, consulting, private equity and audit to create a great blend of experience on each project. This blend of backgrounds helps us learn from each other and stay at the top of the market delivering fantastic results for our clients on landmark deals.About the roleWe currently have a vacancy for a Senior Associate in the TMT team, with a background in Technology businesses e.g. B2B software or Media businesses e.g. B2B Data, Events, AdvertisingWe work on a wide range of projects, including; Pre-deal value creation advisory - where can we optimise the operating model and cost base for our client Carve out and divestment support - how does the business develop standalone capabilities and what is the cost impact How will business continuity be maintained from Day 1 and throughout the separation process Synergy development and review - where are the synergies between two businesses and what is the ongoing cost impact Taking control and 100 day planning - how can our clients effectivel take control of the business and manage risk whilst delivering quick wins through the first 100 days Mergers & Acquisitions Integration - how can our clients protect and grow value in an acquisition, what is the right level of integration to achieve this and what does an effectively run integration programme look like Post-acquisition performance improvement using our Rapid Value Creation methodology - Where do value opportunities exist and how can we generate sustainable cost savings A career in the DDV team is a unique and rewarding challenge. The work is difficult, often quite complex and performed under tight deadlines. As a result, the opportunity for personal and career development is extraordinary with great opportunities for progression. Whilst the team is London based, deal activity is global. As such, projects can involve travel at short notice. Occasionally projects may also involve being based overseas for multiple weeks with trips home weekly or bi weekly and candidates should be prepared for this. The team is structured by sector, supplemented with specialist cross-sector teams in Finance, Technology, HR and Integration. Although you will be aligned to the TMT sector, the specific projects you work on will vary based on the demand and the current deal market and therefore a degree of flexibility is expected. The Senior Associate role is an essential role at project level. You will be expected to support engagement managers and above, usually with data analysis, report editing and presentations. Contribution to business development efforts is expected alongside your project responsibilities.What we are looking for: Personal characteristics and skills: Our highest performers are usually; Nice people! Much of our work involves detailed analysis and report writing, so its critical you can work with these tools (if youre not already an Excel expert dont worry - as long as youre comfortable working with numbers we can train you on Excel).
