Job Description

Are you looking to further your career as a Commercial property/Real Estate SolicitorI am currently working with a highly regarded Top 200 law firm, who are looking for 6+ PQE Solicitor to join their Real Estate team and specialise in site acquisition and development projects for their clients.The successful candidate will be a technically able and commercially astute with proven experience advising a diverse mix of clients on a broad range of complex property matters. As a senior member of the Property team, they will have experience of supervisingand supporting junior lawyers/trainees with their personal and professional development as well as taking on an active role in the annual appraisal process.The candidate will also feel comfortable and confident undertaking various business development activities such as actively building their professional profile and promoting the firm by building relationships with new and existing clients.Key Responsibilities include but are not exclusive to:

  • Lead on client instructions and providing quality, client-focused, legal advice to clients.
  • Working within the commercial property team, the candidate will take a broad range of work but with emphasis on development and landlord and tenant matters. ;
  • The candidate will work as part of team and will take a key role in supervising and developing the more junior members of the team.
  • Drafting and negotiating legal documentation and running transactions both on their own and as part of a team.
  • Professionally and effectively corresponding with all parties associated with matters;
  • Advise clients of costs and disbursements related to matter/s at the beginning and throughout the transaction/s;
  • Work closely with the Head of Property and other Property Partners on business development and marketing activities to achieve departmental and firm-wide targets.
  • Work closely with the Head of Property and the Firms Trainee Prinicpal/Partner to ensure Trainees within the department are supported and mentored and gain a detailed insight to the role of Solicitor in line with the SRAs qualification guideliness andprocesses.
  • Ensure personal and firm compliance in line with the SRAs rules and regulations and reporting any concerns to the Head of Department.
  • Work closely with the Firms Risk & Compliance Manager ensuring all client due dillignece is completed accurately and within a timely manner.
  • Ensure time recordings are accurately recorded, processed and charged in accordance with the Firms billing procedures.
  • Undertake continuous professional development (CPD) activities to support professional and personal development.
