The Mulberry Bush Third Space (MB3)Senior ArchivistJob title: Senior Archivist - Mulberry Bush Third SpaceSalary: circa £35,000 pa (depending on experience)Reports to: Head of Mulberry Bush Third SpaceReportees: Archivist; Project Archivist (until May 2022)Location: The Mulberry Bush Third Space, Church Lane, Toddington, Gloucestershire Hours of work: 37 hrs per week (will need to be flexible) Contract type: PermanentThe Mulberry Bush Third Space (MB3) is a National Centre for Reflective Practice and is the newest venture of the Mulberry Bush Charity. The resources available at MB3 include the Planned Environment Therapy (PET) Archives and Special Collections, and the National Child Care Library (NCCL). These collections are used by Mulberry Bush Charity to promote and support therapeutic approaches to the treatment of children and adults who have suffered emotional and psychological hurt. The PET Archives holds a unique variety of archival, published and oral history materials relevant to the field of therapeutic care. This includes records from psychiatric units, rehabilitation centres, residential childrens services and prison communities. The post of Senior Archivist at MB3 is a unique opportunity for a professional who is looking for a challenging but rewarding role. Reporting to the Head of MB3, your focus will be on embedding the resource into the Mulberry Bush Third Space and the wider Charity as well as reaching out to researchers in a variety of relevant disciplines. You will need to ensure the management of the collections is inline with national standards, working towards achieving Archives Accreditation in 2022. You will be comfortable leading and taking part in reminiscence and reflective sessions inspired by archival resources and promoting the resource to current and former members of therapeutic communities. We are looking for an individual who is able to work within a setting that encourages a TC ethos with the ability to work reflectively in a group setting.
