Job Description

One of the worlds largest provider of high-end research and analytics services to the worlds leading Financial Services organisations is looking for a new Senior (Management level) Data Modeller to join their London team.Client DetailsSenior Analyst / Manager - Data ModellingThe organisation is one of the largest and most well respected providers of high-end research and analytics services to the worlds leading commercial and investment banks, insurance companies, corporations, consulting firms, private equity firms and assetmanagement firmsDescriptionSenior Analyst / Manager - Data ModellingRole Responsibilities:

  • Research industry standards and best practices on data attribute and modelling requirements for Lending business
  • Build PoC studies for data models and deliver walkthroughs or system/domain trainings to stakeholders
  • Take on responsibility in defining and modelling of a common wholesale lending Data model, and physicalisation of the logical data model by working in close collaboration with Business, Change and IT Partners
  • Ability to analyse large volumes of data and understand commonalities in data
  • Develop conceptual / logical / physical data models and create linkages between these; Design functionality to handle incremental data load and manage duplicate data
  • Transform model requirements into functional and technical specifications after discussions with stakeholders
  • Formulate test scenarios and test the data model / transformation logic implemented by the IT partners, generate status reports and run sign-off sessions with senior program managers
  • Create Data Quality and exception management framework including functionalities to handle manual / auto data correction, manual uploads, etc.
ProfileSenior Analyst / Manager - Data Modelling
  • Logical Data Modelling experience is Key
  • Exposure to Data Modelling and Data Analysis concepts to support Data Analytics and Reporting Requirements
  • Should have functional / business knowledge on financial products
  • Ability to combine strong conceptual and critical thinking and apply a practical mind to drive tasks
  • Excellent communication and partner management skills to enable team success
  • Good to have experience in Magic Draw, EA Architect, Collibra, Visio.
  • Good proficiency in SQL, Excel VBA; Hands on experience/fluency in SQL joins and ability to write simple to moderately complex SQL queries
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Should have experience in big data assignments
  • Qualifications/Certifications in Data Modelling and Finance is a plus
