Job Description

About the role:We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Ad Ops Executive to own the delivery of all our digital ad bookings. Through excellent knowledge of ad trafficking, you will ensure campaigns are set up efficiently, creative tested, made live as per schedulesand optimised whilst running.This role will require you to be an expert user of Google Ad Manager (hosted and 3rd party tag-served creative) and build up operational knowledge of our (website and newsletter) CMSs, and our implementation of Salesforce and Google Analytics. You will alsobe confident with Excel and be numerate.The keys to success in this role will be your ability to run the ad delivery side of things autonomously (whilst being part of our seven-strong digital delivery team) and build relationships across the business.About our Business:BOAT International is the worlds leading superyacht multimedia, market intelligence, and events organisation. We produce luxury superyacht magazines, curate and deliver the World Superyacht Awards (the Oscars for superyachts) and own highly successful industryevents.Principal duties and responsibilities

  • Manage several direct sold (and house) digital display, sponsorship, video and social ad campaigns from start to finish to ensure campaign elements are scheduled, optimised and delivered. NB. We are not currently engaged in programmatic ad sales and this is unlikely to change. Knowledge of programmatic guaranteed would be a bonus but the most important thing is expertise in delivering direct-sold campaigns.
  • Set up campaigns and creative QA principally using GAM; also, Polar Media Voice, social media ad creators, newsletter CMS/ad serving suite.
  • Use your experience to make targeting and platform decisions to manage limited inventory and maximise client KPIs to encourage repeat bookings.
  • Provide regular inventory forecasts to the sales team to help maximise STRs and mitigate traffic shortfalls.
  • Work closely with the sales team to check campaign details are correctly captured, keep the team aware of how campaigns are delivering, flagging and solving problems in a timely manner.
  • Work with our CMS developers to ensure optimum GAM set-up and fixing issues.
  • Work with our digital designer to build and implement in-house creative to maximise our ROI on house space.
  • Deliver End of Campaign reporting where necessary
RequirementsWho we are looking for:To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:
  • Hands-on expertise in ad trafficking and campaign management using GAM.
  • Ability to communicate confidently with internal stakeholders, build strong working relationships with colleagues and work efficiently on own initiative are essential.
  • Excellent organisational skills, resilience and enthusiasm
  • Solid working knowledge of Excel is essential (Pivot Tables, for example).
  • Educated to A-level standard (or equivalent). A degree qualification is desired.
  • Experience of relevant publishing/sales/project systems eg Google Analytics, Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Trello (or similar).
  • Some or all of these - experience with Google Campaign Manager and running offsite ad campaigns; building, running and using GAM/GA-derived audience segments and Google Audience Solutions; setting up VAST/VPAID ad tags, in-read formats etc.
  • Some or all of these - experience in GAM website set-up strategies and/or GAM website restructuring and/or optimisation of GAM implementation; knowledge of ad ops tech issues, testing, GTM etc.
  • Some or all of these - knowledge of+ with supplied creative
  • Experience of working in a media or publishing environment is desirable.
