Job Description

Position - Senior 2nd Line EngineerSalary & Benefits - £40,000 + Azure CertificationsLocation: Central London & WFHOne of Europes highest rated IT service providers is looking to bolster its team with a Senior 2nd Line Engineer, who has the potential to progress to a Junior Cloud Infrastructure position in the near future.Role OverviewYou will be responsible for providing first class IT support to clients in various high-end sectors, such as financial & investment management, oil & gas, and other professional services.There is an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience with technologies such as Azure, the Office 365 stack, PowerShell, virtual servers, backup solutions, networking, and many more.Responsibilities

  • Create and manage user profiles in Office 365 and Azure
  • Provide mainly 2nd line support, but also including some 1st and basic 3rd line support
  • Provide technical guidance & expertise relating to Microsoft Cloud components such as Exchange Online, OneDrive for Business, SharePoint, and Azure
  • Utilise PowerShell to run commands, and learn how to create scripts to ensure you can begin automating tasks
  • Aid the projects team with a range of projects, with a specific focus on on-prem to cloud migrations
  • Managing mobile devices through the Intune portal (Microsoft Endpoint Manager)
  • Administer & manage virtual servers within Azure, enabling you to gain exposure to Azure Virtual Desktop
  • Manage storage accounts within the Azure environment
  • Basic troubleshooting of networking equipment, such as routers, switches, VPNs, and firewalls
Essential Tech Skills & Experience
  • Excellent customer-facing skills
  • Active Directory / Group Policy
  • Windows Server & OS
  • Office 365 (Exchange Online)
  • O365 Stack: Intune, SharePoint, OneDrive
  • Azure
  • Basic PowerShell
  • VMware or Hyper V
  • Networking - DNS, DHCP, TCP-IP
