Job Description

An Outstanding Special Needs School in Southwark is recruiting experienced SEND Teachers to start in January 2024.They currently have vacancies across KS1 to KS5. These positions are full-time, and each role will be for the remainder of the academic year, via the agency.The school caters for 200 pupils aged 4-19 years old, with EHCPs for ASD and Aspergers Syndrome. As well as offering students an engaging curriculum, they also work hard to develop communication and social skills. They offer a wealth of resources to bothstudents and pupils.Shortlisted candidates must have proven experience in the UK, ideally in a SEND setting, however the school are open to meeting with mainstream teachers, who have an interest in SEND. Each class has 6-8 students of varying abilities; therefore, it is imperativeyou are confident planning inclusive, individualised lessons. There is also 2-3 TAs in the class depending on the students needs. They are looking for dynamic positive teachers. You will also be responsible for carrying out assessments and reporting progressto SLT.As a high achieving school, they are keen to employ staff who are dedicated, vibrant and have a real passion for SEND.Key Skills:

  • QTS or QTLS
  • Experience within a UK school
  • Be available full time for the full academic year.
  • Experience and understanding of ASD and Communication needs.
