Job Title: SENCOSalary: MPS/UPS + TLR + SEN allowanceSouth BuckinghamshireJob Start: September or April 2021We are working with a rapidly improving school in South Buckinghamshire to recruit an experienced and qualified SENCO. The school recently participated in an external SEND audit which highlighted significant strengths in their team and the SEND departments plans for the academic year. Consequently, they have a fantastic opportunity to recruit an experienced and qualified SENCO to work alongside the Assistant Head (and overall Inclusion Lead) to deliver their ambitious plans.You will have a passion for and skill working with young people who require SEND support, as well as a working knowledge of children with English as an Additional Language and medical needs. You will be able to demonstrate excellent classroom practice and have the ability to balance a teaching timetable alongside additional responsibilities.Reporting to the Assistant Head (and Inclusion Lead), you will be responsible for leading the SEND Department, so some experience of management and leadership at a whole school level is essential.You will be a committed team player and leader with excellent organisational and technical skills, as well as the ability to effectively support learning and teaching, and to develop relationships across the school, with outside agencies and with the wider school community.Students at the school demonstrate exceptionally positive behaviour and regularly deliver outstanding results.
