Primary Special Educational Needs (SEN) School in RomfordJob Type: Full-time, PermanentRole: SEN teaching assistantSalary: £85 - £100 per dayLocation: LewishamAre you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs Are you eager to learn and contribute to a supportive and inclusive learning environment If so, we invite you to join our dedicated team at a Primary SENSchool in Romford.About Us:Our school is committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). We are looking for four enthusiasticindividuals to join our team as Teaching Assistants. Experience is not necessary, but a willingness to learn and a passion for supporting children with special needs is essential.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored educational activities for students with ASD, SLD, and PMLD.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students to help them achieve their learning goals.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.
  • Assist with personal care tasks as required, including feeding, toileting, and mobility support.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to create individualised education plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Encourage independence and social interaction among students.
  • Monitor and record student progress and behaviour.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in working with special needs students.
