Job Description

SEN Teaching AssistantLocation: Shepherds Bush, West LondonHours: Full-time (8:30 - 3:30)Start Date: January 24 Do you have a genuine desire to positively impact the lives of primary school studentsWe are currently in search of a dedicated and understanding SEN Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School situated in Hammersmith, West London.The School:Nestled in the North of Hammersmith, not far from Westfield, this primary school is renowned for its unwavering commitment to nurturing students and creating an inclusive learning environment for students. The school prides itself on its personalised approachto education, empowering students to flourish both academically and holistically.Responsibilities:As an integral part of the team in your SEN Teaching Assistant role, you will play a pivotal role in providing invaluable support. Your key responsibilities will consist of:

  1. Nurturing students social and communication skills, fostering an inclusive and harmonious school community.
  2. Working alongside the teaching team to establish and maintain a positive and stimulating classroom environment.
  3. Implementing effective behaviour management strategies to support students with SEN.
  4. Facilitating students access to the curriculum, adapting / differentiating materials as necessary.
  5. Establishing strong partnerships with parents and other colleagues to ensure a co-ordinated approach to support.
  6. Monitoring and tracking students progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  7. Ensuring the safety and well-being of students at all times.
Requirements:- Previous experience working with children in any capacity is beneficial, experience working with students with SEN is highly advantageous.- A genuine passion for the field of education and supporting students with special educational needs- The ability to work collaboratively as a SEN Teaching Assistant within a supportive team environment- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the unique needs of students- Demonstrating patience, empathy, and a compassionate approachIf you are seeking a fulfilling role where you can contribute to the growth and well-being of secondary school students with special educational needs, this full-time SEN Teaching Assistant opportunity is tailor-made for you.
