Job Description

SEN Teachers needed (Qualified & Unqualified)LambethASAP StartA large Special Needs School Lambeth is recruiting x2 SEN teachers to start ASAP. These positions are full time, for the remainder of the academic year paid via the agency.The school caters for students aged 11-19 with an EHCP for PMLD, Autism (ASD) and complex needs. They have a strong academic focus; however, they also wish to develop students independence in a fun and nurturing way.Shortlisted candidates must have proven experience in the UK. To be considered for this post applicants must have experience teaching in a special needs school. Classes generally have 4-6 students, with 1-3 teaching assistants depending on the class needs.Classes are mixed ability; therefore, it is imperative you are confident planning inclusive, individualised lessons. You will also be responsible for carrying out assessments and reporting progress to SLT. Many of the students have communication difficulties,therefore you must be confident using Makaton and PECS.This is a high achieving school, and they are keen to employ staff who are dedicated, dynamic and have a real passion for SEN.   • QTS or extensive experience in the UK within an SEN school
  • Be available full time for the full academic year.
  • Experience and understanding of ASD, SLD and complex needs.
