We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to join a fantastic special needs school in London. As a Special Education Needs (SEN)Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the lives of students with diverse learning needs.About Us: SEN Teachers - LondonAcademics are working with several special needs schools across London who still require teachers for the new school year. There is a mixture of direct permanent roles, full year contracts and one term positions available, so please do get in touch if youare interested in discussing specific positions.The Role: SEN Teachers - LondonAs an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and implementing personalised learning plans tailored to the individual needs of your students. Your expertise in special education methodologies and strategies will be essential in creating an inclusiveclassroom environment where every student feels valued and supported. You will collaborate closely with parents, carers, and a multidisciplinary team to ensure the provision of high-quality education and support services.Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the unique learning needs of students with special educational needs.
  • Create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that address academic, social, and emotional goals.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to differentiate instruction and accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student well-being, self-esteem, and independence.
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and external professionals to provide comprehensive support to students both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Regularly assess student progress, track individual achievements, and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress, IEPs, and communication with parents and professionals.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Specialism in Special Education Needs (SEN) or relevant additional qualifications.
  • Proven experience working as an SEN Teacher, preferably in a similar educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of different special educational needs and associated teaching strategies.
  • Ability to create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt curriculum content as necessary.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with parents, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of students with special educational needs.
