Job Description

SEN TA required with Team Teach certificate

  • Reeson Education have a vacancy for a teaching assistant at a well-respected Special Needs School in Centra London working with children with Autism and challenging behavior.Rated Outstanding by Ofsted, this fantastic School uses a range of innovative teaching methods to help their students make the most of their educational experience. Students have Special Needs including Autism, SLD, ADHD, SEMH and PMLD.The School has extensive grounds and facilities and are a growing School so the opportunity for progression is real. One exciting project is the Schools new Football Pitch which they have received funding for an hope will further develop the Schools PE and Sports offering to students with Special Needs and Disabilities.The role starts September 2020 and is a full-time. The TA will be trained in Team Teach - this is highly important as TAs must be skilled in keeping children safe and safeguarded through de-escalation techniques and safe restraint where needed.You must have a calm demeanour and resilient nature and experience of working with children with challenging behaviour and Special Needs.The ideal candidate will be an experienced in an SEN School however, the Head Teacher is also happy to consider those from a Care or Support Worker background as they have had success before with those who have transitioned from these settings.Please contact Kiesha at Reeson Education on or apply now with your CV to be considered.
