Security Officer£27,000 plus benefitsLocation - Canary WharfAs an experienced Security Officer you will have the opportunity to join this dynamic, fast growing property management company situated in Canary WharfYou will have principal responsibility for the developments day to day security routines, ensuring the development, its amenities and open spaces remain secure and safe, and the highest quality of service is provided, commensurate with the requirements ofany management contract, lease/s, service level of agreement or otherwise. SecurityTo support the ongoing security and safety routines of the development, aiming to ensure tasks are completed in an efficient and timely manner. Control Room Duties: Completing and taking ownership of the day-to-day control room security tasks and activities.This will include but is not limited to: -o Routinely monitoring surveillance equipment (such as CCTV) - specifically areas of high footfall, ingress and egress points and other risk areas.o Control and manage the access of residents and visitors. o Obtains help by sounding alarms as appropriate or contacting the relevant authorities.o Prevents losses and damageo Controls traffic and the movement of people by directing drivers / persons.o Complete reports and system-based tasks by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.o Ensure adherence to the defined security protocols, tasks and SOPs. o Responds to all alarms.o Manage the acceptance, logging and processing of all residential parcels inclusive of monitoring for suspicious packages as per the provide SOP.o Stays in contact with other security personnel to make sure the development is always secure.Patrol Duties:Taking ownership of the developments security management routines, utilising the companys systems and processes to ensure compliance. This will include but is not limited to: -o Be mindful of maintaining the developments security and personnel by patrolling the property via set / defined routes; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings / areas, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.o Walk around the premises to investigate signs of intrusion / concern or risk.o Stops suspicious activities by asking for identification and advising of policies.o Inspects all points of entry to make sure they are secure Loading Bay / Basement Access Duties: Support the developments security management routines, utilising the companys systems to ensure the appropriate actions are completed. o Manage and monitor the vehicle booking in process and the use of loading bays.o Direct drivers politely and informatively and keep them informed of any relevant time limits that may apply to their period of unloading.o Assist with move ins and move outs in the same manner as noted in point 2 - ensuring you remain polite, courteous, and informative throughout.o Control and manage the entry of vehicles and persons according to the relevant SOP. Using the provided systems to record such persons entering / exiting the building and the authorizing of the same if appropriate.Experience Required" Previous Security and relevant experience" Must be always Professional and courteous" Confident and trustworthy" Min 5 years experience" Property or Facilities experience preferredFlexibility to working shift patterns
