This will be achieved through applying thorough access control procedures, CCTV monitoring and management of client policies around security protocols and auditing processes.Duties will be determined by the Assignment Instructions and Control Room working instructions.Role requirements:

• Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
• Must hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor and CCTV Licence.
• Previous experience in a University environment - preferred
• Full IT Literate - MS Word, Outlook, Access Control Systems
• 5 year checkable work/career history. All applicants will be vetted in line with industry standardsBS7858

Duties include:

• Support the fulfilment of the contracted/business objectives, through the range of duty assignments which will involve security and support duties
• To operate, monitor and prioritise all security systems located within the Control Centre in an effective manner, ensuring that all work is undertaken
• To operate and monitor the CCTV systems to activate and manage access control in line with the client requirements
• To maintain an accurate recording of all events and actions monitored from within the control room
• Assist with security and safety investigations via the use of the systems within the security control room (CCTV and access control investigations)
• To respond and react to any incidents or security issues that may arise
• To carry out regular audits and checks on security systems (CCTV, access control, safety systems) and report any faults through the Helpdesk and stakeholders in line with client requirements
• To work alongside the emergency services and other security providers to ensure high standard of response and support
• Maintain and manage strict controls around the Key Management systems in place
• Manage and maintain all equipment within the control rom e.g. radios
• Complete documents as required including DOBs, risk assessments, Standard Operating procedures and other quality & safety documents
• Provide additional support with the abilities of the security role as and when required by the onsite Security management team
• To perform ad-hoc duties as required
• Maintain clear communication via mobile and two-way radio systems with colleagues throughout your duty
