Job Description

Security Consultant Outside IR35 £600- 650 London - can be mainly remote/ Must be available for immediate start My client, an insurance company based in the city are actively looking for an experienced security consultant to support their CISO across multiple projects. You must have experience working in a technical security consulting/ management role and buildingout areas such as the below:

  • Develop generic cyber security NFR library, relevant for on-prem and cloud projects.
  • Feed NFRs into projects, ensuring secure by design approach.
  • Work internally and with SOC provider to develop BCP, Cyber Incident Response Plan and cyber playbooks.
  • Organise tabletop exercise.
  • Develop necessary cyber security policies.
  • Improve MI and reporting capabilities.
  • Develop pen test and vulnerability remediation plan with necessary teams.
  • Update risk management tool on cyber risks and controls.
Person Specification
  • Previously worked as an information security manager or consultant.
  • Strong information and cyber security background, ideally supported by relevant professional qualifications. Experienced in working on cyber transformation programmes and balancing business delivery with cyber risk.
  • Good practical knowledge of security technologies and wider solutions including firewalls, identity and access management, SOC, remote working and cloud technologies.
  • Excellent understanding of best practice within information security, risk mitigation and cyber essentials.
  • Thorough understanding of legislation and regulations that impact information security.
  • Good understanding of project management methodology and how to implement security within them.
  • Ability to present complex or highly technical issues in simple and easy to understand formats.
  • A natural ability to build strong relationships and an understanding of balancing security risk with business transformation.
