Job Description

LocationNorth LondonSalary of a Section Enigneer (Rail Station Upgrade)£40,000 plus competitive car allowance, pension & life assuranceJob Description of a Section Enigneer (Rail Station Upgrade)The purpose of the project is the design and construction of a new station including step-free access works new footbridges, fit out, ticket line improvements and associated civils works. This is a London Underground project but the station is adjacent to the NR mainline station which acts as a connection for the Stansted Express from Liverpool Street.Key responsibilities of a Section Enigneer (Rail Station Upgrade) will include:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience, but preferably 4 or more.
  • Experience on projects with building works including steel frame erection, RC works, cladding/glazing installation and M&E works - this is for the immediate use on the Tottenham Hale project and the role we are recruiting for.
  • Experience on projects with a major civils works such as piling, RC works, drainage, earthworks etc - this is for future projects and is more of our usual type work. To make the Engineer’s appointment worthwhile for both us and them.
  • Has enough knowledge and experience to be able to guide/manage more junior Site Engineers.
  • Understands and can demonstrate experience in developing and utilising standard Tier 1 contractor paperwork to cover all areas of site work; Health and safety, quality and commercial.
    • Skills & experience of a Section Enigneer (Rail Station Upgrade)
  • (Relevant) Degree educated
  • Should have either SSSTS or SMSTS
  • Should have a CSCS card
  • Ideally certified and experienced in the Temporary Works Coordinator role.
  • Ideally would have LUL Industry common induction on their sentinel card
