SDET (Automation)Salary: £60-80k (plus very attractive bonus on top)Location: London or Leeds (hybrid working of one day a week in the office, if peferred)*Please only apply if you have experience working in the sports betting/gaming industry*Purpose of role: We have an exciting opportunity for a SDET/Test Analyst to join a rapidly expanding Sports Analytics company. As a Test Analyst, you will be working in a fast paced, delivery focused environment, playing a critical role in helping a young and fast-growingcompany to define and establish its automated test processes and procedures for several cutting-edge products.Summary of the role:The role’s primary responsibility will be to develop a framework of testing methods, plans, test cases and data that facilitate the execution of test cycles enabling delivery of the company’s software and services product roadmap. The role will require extensiveliaising with the development team, business analysts and business product owners to understand key positive and negative test scenarios, agreed entry and exit criteria for product and project phases and the supply of context into prioritisation and decisionmaking.Key responsibilities:• Working with various internal stakeholders• Definition of suitable automation approach to support QA activities• Building of automation frameworks, selection of automation tools• Creation of an automated regression test set• Working as part of an agile team• Develop test solutions, test plans, test cases and executing the test cases• Plan and implement testing• Test documentation• Working with teams on change management and requisite trainingSkills and competencies:Essential• Experience in Automation testing, with focus on creation of frameworks, and an interest and ability to pick up new toolset skills where required• Experience with building test automation against applications written in C#, .Net or Java and be comfortable with micro service architecture• Experience with UI toolsets such as Selenium• Understanding of BDD and TDD• Good SQL knowledge, with the ability to build complex queries and determine the quality of the data both received and delivered• Experience of complex end-to-end system processes involving multiple components and interfaces• Strong mathematical and data analysis skills• Ability to work without supervision, and use own initiative• Willingness to get the job done and get involved• Detail oriented, a logical thinker and very inquisitive about how systems and processes work• Understand risk-based approaches to testing• Knowledge/experience of automated testing framework/process• Desire to make a real impact in a growing business• Excellent communication and time management skillsDesirable• US sporting knowledge and interest• Knowledge of SQL databases• Knowledge of a scripting language or multiple• Knowledge of CICD methods• Agile/Scrum/Iteration based Development/Change methods• Azure DevOps• TDDRequired skills
