Machine Learning, Immuno-oncology, Antibody Engineering, Robotics, T-Cell Biology, Drug Discovery Your new companyWith machine learning providing the potential to provide huge value to drug discovery, in particular reversing the 60-year trend of decreasing R&D efficiency, our client as the first biopharma using their novel engine to drive this approach paves the opportunityto greatly lower the risk profile (and cost) of developing new biological drugs!On the cusp of securing their next Series Funding, our client is on a mission to revolutionise drug discovery for protein therapeutics with machine learning. Their advanced engine encompasses synthetic biology, robotic automation, and machine learning in orderto improve multiple drug properties simultaneously through exploring protein fitness landscapes.Your new role

  • As a senior member of the Cell Biology team, you will be responsible for designing and executing complex screening experiments, and running cell killing and potency assays to characterise novel biotherapeutics from bespoke antibody libraries.
  • With input from multiple contributors, you will use your experience in directing immuno-oncology projects to help evaluate targets and designing complex experiments.
What youll need to succeed
  • You will hold a PhD (or equivalent industrial research experience) in Immunology, Cell Biology (or a related scientific discipline), with proven post-doctorate industrial experience in immuno-oncology/ T-Cell biology.
  • You will bring demonstrable experience performing flow cytometry experiments, as well as cell-based screening assays for pre-clinical drug discovery and functional validation.
  • You will have a track record of training and mentoring junior scientists, acting as a subject matter expert on cell-based assays, and how they can support drug discovery.
