Job Description

Biochemistry, drug discovery, ECM, Biomedical Sciences, Tissue Engineering Your new companyOur client is an aggressively growing biotech, developing an exciting portfolio of programmes in fibrosis and solid tumours using their unique human extracellular matrix (ECM)-based discovery platform. This allows the study of human pathophysiology leadingto the discovery of novel targets and therapeutics that will benefit patients through the acceleration of drug discovery in liver disease and cancer!Your new role

  • You will be contributing to project progression using biochemical profiling assays for the identification of target molecules.
  • You will develop, optimise and implement novel methods for process development.
  • You will play a key role in the business strategy to support the decision-making process of selecting the best drug molecule candidates.
What youll need to succeed
  • You will hold a PhD or MSc in Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology (or in a related field).
  • You will have at least 2 years working experience performing laboratory research in an industrial setting (biotech/pharma/CRO).
  • You will have working experience with mammalian cell-based assays.
  • You will have competency in the determination of drug EC50 and IC50.
  • You will have experience with biochemical assays such as ELISA, FRET, HTRF and Luminex.
  • You will have experience of multi-colour flow cytometry.
