Job Description

School Lunchtime Servery Assistant required in LondonDays: Monday to Friday, term time onlyHours: 10 hours per week, 12pm - 2pmStart date: 30/10/2023Are you a friendly and dedicated lunchtime servery assistant looking for your next role We are looking for an experienced Lunchtime Servery Assistant to work at one of our wonderful Ark Academies. The candidate will be hard-working, conscientious and organisedas well as being an excellent team player and role model for both students and staff. There is a possibility of temp to perm for the right candidate for this role.Responsibilities

  • To set up serving and dining areas.
  • To serve food to students and staff and provide a helpful service at all times.
  • To work as a team to ensure all service requirements are met.
  • To prepare and deliver refreshments for special functions.
  • To collect and clean dirty cutlery, crockery and other serving items.
  • To record food temperatures and labelling of stock items.
  • To carry out responsibilities in accordance with health and safety and relevant legislation.
  • To keep serving areas and dining hall clean and tidy.
Person specification
  • Experience of catering preferred.
  • Experience of working with children is desirable.
  • Genuine interest in and willingness to help children to learn how to eat healthily.
Requirements
  • Right to work in the UK
  • An enhanced child/child & adult DBS certificate on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
  • A minimum of two professional references (three if neither is child-based) to cover the last 24 months.
