What will you be doing • Assist in setting up an inventory of climate related variables impacting the Bank and develop simple models for relationships between climate related and economic indicators • Assisting the team with preparing and conducting scenario expansion for regulatory and internal stress tests, with particular focus on climate related stress tests • Gather external information about interdependencies of climate and economics related variables and prepare high quality presentations for senior management and regulators • Pro-actively identify opportunities and support improvements in data, process, modelling and reporting for scenario expansion and help the team in general BAU projects What were looking for: • A solid understanding of climate related indicators and the interactions between climate and the economy • Climate related scenario expansion modelling experience or knowledge of Risk modelling within a financial services setting • Excellent stakeholder management, communications and presentation skills as youll interact with a wide audience across the bank at junior and senior levels • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject matter or field Skills that will help you in the role: • Graduate level qualification in a climate related discipline; preferable Physics, Chemistry, Geography, Economics with proven experience in climate risk • Work experience in a related field in scenario planning and Risk • Advanced Excel and/ or VBA skills • Sound knowledge of climate and economics related processes Where will you be working In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links.
