Job Description

Role Title: Technical Test AnalystDuration: 12 months Security Clearance: SCThe role will be responsible for the analysis and design, implementation and execution of technical tests as defined in the test plan under the direction of the test lead or other responsible person. An additional but significant element of this rolewill be one of enhancing specialist testing skills, technical skills and gaining the commercial experiences necessary to successfully achieve customer satisfaction criteria and contractual obligations, supporting account teams (Sector) and clients to deliverwork to agreed estimates and timescales.The role is to apply Sopra Steria Testing Processes using Sopra Steria RightTestingTM or client processes (as appropriate) and:

• To provide rudimentary domain knowledge to support delivery in specialised areas of testing.
• To produce Test Plans for simple testing requirements, seeking clarification about requirements where required and contribute to overall Test Plans for more complex requirements.
• To develop detailed Test Cases and Test Scripts, including expected results, for simple requirements, in line with the Test Strategy.
• To create test data for simple testing requirements.
• To execute testing with support if required on more complex scenarios.
• To document and verify test results.
• To raise and record details of incidents encountered during testing.
• To use testing tools, as required.
• Shall gain an understanding of, and is able to articulate: Test Management: Responsibilities for the Test Analyst Test Techniques Testing Software Quality Characteristics Reviews Defect Management Test Tools
• Has demonstrable experience in using common business technology (for example, MS Office suite of tools)
• Has demonstrable experience of using business technology within a specific domain; including at least one of the following: applications, infrastructure, security, networks
• With minimal supervision able to produce a range of test deliverables in-line with applicable standards.
• International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) Foundation Level Certification
• Demonstrable experience of one or more of the programmes listed below: Any - HP ExpertOne Programme Certification ALM QTP Loadrunner Any - Oracle Certified Professional Any - SAP Certified Application Associate Any - Microsoft Certified Professional Demonstrableknowledge and experience using two or more software engineering tools, techniques, methods, in accordance with recognised standards, specifically: SQL (for example; production of basic scripts to query a relational database) MS Excel (for example; basic datasetquerying and data build) PL/SQL, C, VB, or Java (for example; construction of simple procedures and functions to administrate, or drive applications and tools) HP ALM, HP QC (for example; test implementation, execution and reporting)

• International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) Test Analyst Advanced Level Certification International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) Technical Test Analyst Advanced Level Certification
• Knowledge of the latest developments and future strategy for their technology area, and an awareness of its application within past and present Sopra Steria engagements
