Job Description

SC Cleared SharePoint DeveloperRemote working / London12-month contractPaying £300-£350 /dayINSIDE IR35We are looking to hire a talented SharePoint Developer (SC Cleared) for a Central Government department at a crucial and exciting time.This is an urgent contract post for 12 months initially.The successful SharePoint Developer will sit within the Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) function to design and implement SharePoint solutions for the department.You will primarily be focused on the trade agreements environment which is a challenging and interesting area of work providing expert guidance to the team. You will be responsible for maintaining the existing SharePoint sites, analysing site usage and simplifying the site where possible. You will also be responsible for designing and implementing a new SharePoint site creating a clean, scalable site that meets design and functionality requirements.You will be proficient with front-end programming language and Office365 applications.As a SharePoint Developer, you will sit within the DDaT function. You will work in a multidisciplinary team alongside a user researcher and delivery manager to deliver effective user-centered SharePoint solutions.As a SharePoint Developer you will:

  • Meet with the customers to review website and application requirements.
  • Configure the SharePoint sites to specified requirements.
  • Design and implement scalable applications.
  • Extend SharePoint functionality with forms, web parts, and application technologies.
  • Review website interface and software stability.
  • Troubleshoot software issues.
  • Maintain and updating SharePoint applications.
  • Provide systems support and guidance to users.
  • Work closely with the SharePoint owners and Admin (Records Management Team), Microsoft 365 Architect / Product Owner (Senior Technology Officer) and Microsoft 365 Developer.
  • Ensure design documentation and user guidance is available and current
    • Skills and experienceThe ideal candidate will have:
  • Previous experience as a SharePoint Admin and Developer
  • The ability to solve complex software issues
  • Front end customisations: SPFx (TypeScript, React), Microsoft Graph
  • Excellent communication skills
  • An understanding of working in an agile multidisciplinary team
  • Be detail orientated
  • PowerShell experience
