Job Description

Job Title: SAP Software EngineerLocation;London with Hybrid workingRate:£400-£500pd Outside Ir35Contract length:18-24 monthsAltum Consulting are currently partnered with a FTSE 30 business on a global technology driven Transformation programme and are looking to bring in hands on SAP Software Implementation expertise.These roles feature a combination of the followingDesign

  • Designing, coding, testing, debugging and documenting of applications using SAP integration cloud platform
  • Flexible to work on SAP integration products like
    • SAP Landscape Transformation Replication Server - SAP SLT
    • SAP BO Data Services, Data Integration - SAP BODS
    • SAP Process Integration/Orchestration - SAP PI/PO
  • Design and build applications that use the above mentioned technologies
  • Lead the development exercise (with senior and junior developers) of development of application that uses the above technologies.
  • Work on Design documentations at various levels of design phase that will help the developer, tester and production support teams with respect the to the applications
  • Grow technical and design capabilities of the engineering team.
DevelopDeveloping, testing, debugging and documenting SAP integration with ARIBA, SAP HANA and other SAP products over PAAS/ SAAS
  • Extensive use of DB design, SQL, PL-SQL skills
  • Development (build and unit testing) of applications that use the above technologies and contribute in the design phase.
  • Work with the Designer in design documentation and deliverable documentation.
  • Be able to design simple to medium complexity applications using the above-mentioned technologies

  • Has end-user interaction experience for requirements gathering, understanding customer needs and working with multiple groups to coordinate and carry out technical activities which include new development, maintenance and production support activities.
We are looking to speak with candidates that have the following experience:
  • Knowledge of SAP Cloud integration capabilities
  • Hands on knowledge with SAP PIPO, SLT, BODS
  • Experience using the relevant IDEs for development like NetWeaver.
  • Performance tuning middleware applications, PL-SQLs and DB designs.
  • Fluency in Web Services standards SOAP, WSDL
  • Knowledgeable on WS-* standards such as WS-Addressing, WS-Security
  • Must have used/implemented Fault and Error handling capabilities, logging, Synchronous and Asynchronous processes.
  • Knowledge of debugging tools.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals including Data Structure and algorithms
  • End-user interaction experience for requirements gathering, understanding customer needs and working with multiple groups to coordinate and carry out technical activities which include new development, maintenance and production support activities.
