Part-Time 14.5 hours per week, term time only - 40 weeks workedBased at the Central Campus, BrightonWe are seeking to appoint a Salon Coordinator to further enhance the current on-site salon experience for both customers and students. An exciting opportunityexists for you to become involved in helping the Hair, Beauty and Holistic therapies students of the future to learn their trade and showcase their talents. The Colleges Salons are where the Hair, Beauty and Holistic students prepare and provide treatmentsto high standards and have the chance to work in a realistic working salon providing services and retailing to members of the public, college staff and college students. The Salons are open throughout the day and the evening. It is planned that this customerfacing facility will provide the opportunity to showcase the breadth of provision and widening participation of our learner cohort. We are looking for a Salon Coordinator on a term time only basis for 14.5 hours per week, who will be responsible for supervisingthe salon area and students, taking all bookings, overseeing the general day to day running and marketing of the commercial facility.The salon is run in a similar way to a commercial salon, and the applicant will be responsible for generating an income andmeeting financial/ retail targets.The facility will be open throughout the day and in the evening and there is also a possibility it will be open some weekends and therefore the post-holder will be required to work flexibly.The successful candidate will haverecent reception experience, and preferably within Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy. They will have high standards, combined with excellent communication skills and good time management.They will also have excellent customer care skills, computer literacy, workingknowledge of Health & Safety Regulations, and will either hold or be willing to undertake TAQA Assessor Award and First Aid training.Interviews will be held on 18 August 2021
