Salesforce Database Administrator / OfficerPart Time (3 full days per week, or 4 or 5 shorter hour days)Remote working plus London-based Hub when required£28,000 Pro-RataBenefits:Twelve-month interest free season ticket loan25 working days’ paid holiday pro rata, in addition to Public HolidaysEmployer’s Ethical Investor’s Stakeholder Pension SchemeGenerous training and professional development allowanceFlexible working hoursChildcare Voucher SchemeRide-to-Work Bicycle SchemeStaff Retention SchemeEmployee Assistance Programme - subscription to wellbeing serviceObjective:As a new role designed to bring more capacity to the team, the Database Officer will play a key role in supporting the Senior Database Administrator’s on-going development, maintenance, and operation of the organisation’s Salesforce CRM database.Acting as the first point of contact for all Salesforce (and related apps) user enquiries, you will assistthe Senior Database Administrator to undertake a range of duties to ensure that the database is well maintained and able to support the outputs of the broaderteam.Tasked by the Senior Database Administrator, you will work closely with colleagues within the Audience Development & Fundraising team, to provide critical technical support by carrying out a broad range of tasks such as importing mailing data files, preparing data analysis for fundraising or marketing activities, updating data records, and processing returned whitemail. In addition, you will also support the Finance team with general data reconciliation duties, the processing of Gift Aid on a quarterly basis, and with other reporting requirements where necessary.Overall, the Database Officer will play an essential role in achieving impact and sustainability at the heart of the organisation and in doing so will make a substantial contribution to the cause of our Not For Profit client.Key Responsibilities:Run and maintain a process of regular weekly and monthly imports, alongside any other ad-hoc imports, as directed by the Senior Database Administrator (Valldata, Standing Orders, Gift Aid, Data Quality, Image scans).Responsibility for ensuring the returns from our Direct Debit provider (Smart Debit) are actioned in an accurate, timely fashion.Responsibility for the in-house Cheque Recording Process, ensuring that entries are recorded in an accurate, timely fashion.Responsibility for the processing of records in line with the Financial Holding Process and performing data reconciliations of Direct Debits and Cheques in consultation with the Finance Team.Maintaining data quality and integrity, by performing tasks such as the merging of duplicates, and the processing of campaign Whitemail returns at the database.Maintaining a working understanding of the application of GDPR and relevant Data Protection Act legislation and working to support the Senior Database Administrator to ensure that the organisation’s database maintains compliance with that legislation.Responding to enquiries and acting as a first point of contact for internal database users and stakeholders, in support of the Senior Database Administrator, providing technical database advise and problem-solve as required.At the request of the Senior Database Administrator undertake any other duties consistent with this post.Key Skills & Qualifications:Good working knowledge of SalesforceExperience of using a CRM, including within a fundraising environment, for at least 18 months, and of providing support to database users.Experience in running regular data importsExperience of creating import processesExperience of creating basic reports/dashboard design using the CRM’s in-built reporting toolsExperience of undertaking general housekeeping duties for a complex database system.Experience of complying with GDPR and the Data Protection Act, and how it specifically applies to a fundraising database.An understanding of how ETL Processes are used in a Fundraising environment Required skills
