Job Description

About the company:I am currently working with a client of ours in the digital learning sector, who are award winning within their field. Derived from behavioural science, they ensure their experiential learning solutions deliver impact and change to their clients. Clientelerange across public sector and not-for-profit organisations. Their solutions and people are widely recognised as industry leaders and have won several awards.About the role:My client is looking for a Business Development Executive to join their sales division. This pivotal role will focus initially on generating leads and once familiar with the approach and services, will support the development of these opportunities fromdetermining requirements in client meetings and from RFPs to writing initial proposals. Within this role there are development opportunities to progress further in the Sales consulting team.Responsibilities:

  • Securing new meetings with buyers of learning in FTSE 250 companies or in the Employability public procurement space based on the responses to marketing campaigns, industry events, website leads etc
  • Outbound direct marketing and lead generation to targeted organisations
  • Ensuring a continual pipeline of meetings for the Sales team by achieving your weekly KPIs
  • Dealing with warm leads including web enquiries and inbound calls
  • Understanding client requirements and being alert to new business opportunities
  • Assisting in the successful articulation of business requirements, and creatively and persuasively writing solutions that meet those requirements, presenting them to clients and closing business
  • Monitoring daily tender opportunities & portal notifications
  • Writing content for social media, press releases and submissions for industry awards, on occasions
  • Creating digital content including blogs, articles and whitepapers, on occasions
About you:
  • An excellent telephone manner
  • Comfortable presenting online and face-to-face
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Self-starter with a desire for early responsibility
  • A creative and persuasive verbal and written communicator with an eye for detail and accuracy
  • A minimum of 2 years sales, account management or business development experience is required
  • Experience within the learning and development industry is desirable but not essential
