Are you an expert in safeguarding Can you deliver effective and engaging training Prospectus is delighted to be working with a highly regarded international development charity who support and campaign for children, gender equality and human rights. We are currently supporting them in their search for a part time Safeguarding Manager to ensure they create a positive safeguarding culture where safeguarding best practice is embedded throughout all of their work. Reporting to the Head of HR, the Safeguarding Manager will ensure a comprehensive safeguarding framework is in place for the organisation. Your role will be to review and update policies and procedures and to ensure there are adequate prevention and response mechanisms in place for incidents. You will lead on reporting and will act as focal point for safeguarding across the organisation as well as working closely with partner organisations to ensure consistency. Working with the Technical Advisor - Safeguarding and Protection Mainstreaming, you will design and deliver safeguarding induction training for all staff and volunteers as well as working with communications teams to develop an annual communications plan for safeguarding to maintain a high level of awareness of safeguarding in their work. The successful candidate will have significant experience in safeguarding and will be an expert in UK safeguarding regulation along with proven practical application. Inspired by high standards in practice this person will be motivated by generating a positive safeguarding culture in support of the organisations vital work. An excellent communicator who can create concise and engaging policies and procedures, this person will be able to create interest and will go on to develop engaging training workshops and delivering presentations. The Safeguarding Manager will be able to demonstrate the ability of weaving diversity and inclusivity into the safeguarding practice. In order to apply please submit your CV in the first instance.
