About the roleThe London Fire Brigade is looking to recruit a CS Support Driver on an interim basis. You will be a key part of the team that is delivering a corporate project to procure and rollout improved breathing apparatus and ancillary equipment for frontline staff.The postholder will provide administrative support to the project team and play a key part in documenting, scheduling, and creating reports to ensure that the project delivers on time and to the agreed scope.Key responsibilities· Provide direct administrative support to the project manager and project team, including diary maintenance, scheduling and meeting requests· Continuously monitor progress to ensure the timely completion of work stream activities to agreed standards· Create, photocopy, collate, and despatch project updates, briefing papers/reports· Plan, prioritise and manage demanding and conflicting work requirements ensuring the delivery of the required outcomes· Service meetings, including obtaining the availability of attendees, the preparation of agendas and minutes, the receipt, collation and despatch of all documents and follow up actions, having due regard to deadlines· Draft correspondence and briefing notes as required· Ensure that every aspect of the functions of the post directly promote the Brigade’s Inclusion and Health and Safety PoliciesSkills, knowledge, and experience· Experience of using a range of Information Technology applications and packages together with good keyboard skills and an understanding of how of how IT systems can be utilised in relation to the duties of the post· Experience of managing and coordinating work streams for projects together with experience of using project management applications· Experience of creating, implementing and monitoring project plans to ensure the timely completion of project activities· Experience of setting up and maintaining detailed administrative processes· Effective oral and written communication skills in order to liaise with staff at all levels and to take accurate minutes/notes of meetings, prepare management briefs and draft correspondence/reports, sometimes of a complex naturePlease note that the working hours for this role are 7:30am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday, and it is fully office based. There are also opportunities for occasional overtime duties during the week until 6.00pm.
