Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Part Time Rotational Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team based at The London Clinic’s in Central London, W1G 6BW, with a salary range on offer of £26,321 - £32,394 (pro rata).Established in 1932, The London Clinic is one of the UK’s largest private hospitals, with state-of-the-art facilities located around Harley Street. We have approx. 1300 employees across 8 sites, where we cover a broad range of specialisms, including complex medical and surgical procedures and a comprehensive range of cancer and outpatient services.Job ProfileAs a Pharmacy Technician you will participate in a safe, efficient and accurate, technician led pharmacy operational service across all sites at The London Clinic.

  • Job Type: This is a part-time, permanent position working 15 hours per week (preferably Thursday and Friday, however flexibility will be required dependant of the departments needs).
  • Shifts: We operate a mixed shift pattern – between 8am – 7.30pm.

    • Key Duties
  • Participate in the provision of a safe, efficient and accurate dispensing and distribution service to all pharmacy users, including ward top ups, dispensing of controlled drugs.
  • Participate in the assembly and compounding of aseptically prepared cytotoxic drugs and monoclonal antiboides.
  • To provide concise drug information to patients and staff and refer enquires appropriately.
  • Issue final checked items to patients and provide appropriate and relevant advice to patients or carers to facilitate safe and effective medicines use by patients.
  • Final check prescriptions that have been clinically screened by a pharmacist upon completion of Accredited Checking training programme
    • Skills &Experience
  • NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences or Equivalent
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council of Great Britain
  • Hospital pharmacy experience
  • Experience of formulation of Standard Operating Procedures
