As a Barclays Market Risk Conformance Manager, you will be conducting a programme of independent reviews ensuring areas of the business identified by an annual risk profiling exercise are adhering to the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) througha series of Policies and Standards across each Principal Risk. Additional reviews can be requested by the Group Chief Risk Officer, Chief Risk Officers of the legal entities and the Head of Risk Services where or if appropriate. What will you be doing Ensuring that an effective programme of work is undertaken, performing reviews over frameworks, policies, standards and procedures Recommending solutions / negotiating changes to Standards, Procedures and key controls to enhance the overall Risk environment Developing and maintaining robust management information to monitor conformance and identify any material weaknesses across legal entity Business areas Delivering within cost budget using working smarter/risk based approach Leading Conformance reviews ensuring the success of each Conformance review team visit Giving clear direction to Conformance Review colleagues, providing encouragement and feedback, coaching and developing staff in the wider team of stakeholders Acting as a role model and drive proactive application of Barclays Mindset and Values throughout the team including establishment of common goals and objectives Ensuring that Conformance Review team members work together as one team in support of the sharing of generic issues and best practice with other legal entities and other Risk areas What were looking for: Practical and pragmatic approach People management and leadership skills Good stakeholder management and ability to build effective working relationships Ability to interpret the significance of risks and criticality of actions require Skills that will help you in the role: Treasury and Capital Risk knowledge (Capital and Liquidity); Internal Audit or Assurance background Knowledge of the Group Risk structure Good understanding of the legal entities and transaction cycles that make up the Barclays Group Good knowledge of the Financial Services Regulatory environment.
