Job Description

MERJE, in collaboration with a leading force in the financial services sector, is actively seeking a Risk & Compliance Manager. We are specifically looking for individuals with extensive payments experience, coupled with expertise in consumer credit andcredit cards.As the Risk & Compliance Manager of a small team you will:

  • Collaborate within a small Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance team to ensure full compliance and facilitate the launch of innovative products
  • Work across departments to identify regulatory challenges and deliver strategic solutions for new product developments
  • Prioritize and monitor regulatory and compliance initiatives, aligning them with industry best practices
  • Oversee compliance activities across the organization to maintain a robust regulatory framework
  • Support the application process for new authorizations and licenses from regulatory bodies such as the FCA
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in financial regulations and compliance within an FCA-regulated financial service
  • Experience of working with the FCA and in-depth knowledge of FCA regulations and standards, including Consumer Duty, EMI, and MiFID (EMI and MiFID experience highly preferred)
  • Broad compliance knowledge, with a focus on various financial service products (investment product experience preferred), including drafting and implementing frameworks
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
