Job Description

Job title: Revenue & Commercial AnalystSalary: circa £55,000Location: LondonAre you a forward-thinking, dynamic accountant ready to embrace a challenging role in a complex, ever-evolving business Our client, a B2B consultancy business, is looking of their next Revenue & Commercial Accountant to join them on their exciting growth journey.As a pivotal member of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing revenue processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and contributing to the success of their global operations.This is the perfect role for a newly qualified or finalist accountant looking for a new challenge in a business that can offer brilliant learning, progression, and development.Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the Group revenue recognition process, partnering with project teams for accuracy
  • Conduct monthly reviews of debtors, accrued revenue, and deferred revenue for the senior commercial team
  • Develop monthly reporting on KPIs, including staff utilization and project profitability
  • Collate monthly revenue performance by service line, offering narrative and forward projections for management accounts
  • Own the pricing tool, rate cards, and roles
  • Establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders both finance and non-finance
  • Work collaboratively with delivery teams to ensure accurate billing milestones
  • Provide up-to-date invoicing, appropriate revenue recognition, and cash receipts
  • Provide weekly reforecasts of anticipated monthly revenue for each service line, covering the next six months
  • Participate in sales pipeline discussions
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to reduce project over-servicing and improve margins
  • Implement and ensure revenue processes and reporting consistency in the US
  • Drive ongoing process and reporting improvements
  • Manage client billing and credit control processes
Person Specification:
  • Qualified or Finalist level accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA)
  • Proven experience in revenue and commercial accounting
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, change-oriented environment
