Job Description

We’re working on a new full time and permanent Store Manager opportunity working at the UK’s largest (and coolest in our opinion!) independent gift shop, based on the Southbank in Central London.The ideal candidate will have an ability to manage the daily operations of the store and complete tasks related to inventory tracking, marketing and customer service.You will be a confident retail salesperson with the ability to share your best practices in order to onboard new employees. You will also possess strong leadership skills and be able to assign duties to relevant employees in order to maintain the function of the store. You must be looking for a long-term position as the company has plans for expansion and needs the right people on board for this next stage of growth!Responsibilities as Store Manager include:

  • Managing daily operations of the business to ensure sales goals are met including planning and managing the staff rota
  • Ordering stock and raising invoices
  • Directing employees in daily operations such as serving customers, inventory-taking, reconciling cash and managing in-store marketing
  • Assigning duties to relevant employees
  • Managing online sales through various sales channels
  • Conducting hiring and onboarding of new employees
  • Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations
  • Tracking and managing inventory at the store
  • Placing orders via the Epos System
  • Liaising with brands and independent designers on new stock
  • Potential opportunity to go to industry trade shows with the Buyer
  • Requirements:
  • 3 - 5+ years of retail management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to train employees and be an effective salesperson
  • Must have experience with a stock ordering process
  • Proven ability to prioritise initiatives and multitasking
  • Strong customer service, management and communication skills
  • Must be computer literate, confident using Microsoft Excel and Word
