The Retail HR Advisor is being hired on a 6 Month Fixed Term basis due to growth and in thisrole you’ll be responsible for providing an end to end best in class HR advisory service to a defined stakeholder group across our EMEA retail teams whilst making sure our people agenda stays centre stage. With employee engagement & inclusion front of mind,you’ll help to create an environment where all our people can thrive. The key responsibilities of the Retail HR Advisor are:

  • Advising and supporting retail managers and employees to proactively address and manage all people matters.
  • Autonomously managing ER caseloads; providing expertise, support, coaching and advice to retail managers and employees.
  • Assisting managers with preparation and support for investigations, disciplinary, appeals, grievances, absence management etc. Acting at the main point of contact, with full support from HR Leads as required on matters that require escalation.
  • Managing and carrying out monthly retail bonus calculations.
  • Using detail provided by ER caseload, you will complete relevant training needs analysis (TNA), identifying ways to continuously improve people management skills and refine our policies.
  • Analyse HR data to produce and present monthly HR updates to UK Regional Managers to update them on any ongoing cases, absence levels, employee turnover and other people KPI’s.
  • Supporting the HR Leads to deliver organisational change where necessary.
  • Partnering with the wider HR Operations team to ensure all HR policies, procedures and paperwork are implemented and executed effectively and align with our culture.
  • Support on cyclical HR processes including pay review, talent review and the engagement survey whilst also getting involved in any HR retail projects or initiatives.
Travel may be required across our various retail sites. THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART Put simply, for this role the key things we’re looking for are:
  • It’s not essential for you to have a degree or CIPD professional qualification, but we are keen you have a passion for HR and for creating a place to work where all our employees can thrive.
  • You’ll have strong ER experience and be able to demonstrate strong commercial ER advice; you will be comfortable navigating & reducing risk.
  • You’ll have experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment & always throw yourself in to the task at hand.
  • You will be a great communicator both verbally (Face to face and virtually) and in writing; you will be able to influence across various levels and build an environment of trust and credibility.
  • You’ll have a good understanding of UK employment legislation, if you have knowledge of other European Countries this could be beneficial too.
  • You’ll be a confident user of the Microsoft Office packages, especially Excel and have experience and understanding of HR systems (we use Dayforce).
  • You will be a strong administrator and have experience of this across the core employee lifecycle activities.
