ReporterNew Model AdviserCitywire New Model Adviser is hiring a reporter to join Citywires vibrant editorial team. This position will see you play a core role in the production of investment content for our sophisticated readership. You will be writing articles, recordingpodcasts and making videos for a core audience of professional financial planners, as well for other Citywire readers based in the UK and across the world.Candidates will need to be resourceful, communicative and able to meet tight deadlines with efficient and eye-catching copy. You will join our fast-paced editorial team, writing for our website as well as occasional print specials and online special projects.This role will be based mainly in our London editorial office and permitted to work 2/3 days from home.As a reporter on NMA, you will have clear and consistent coordination with the team and ability to work on your own initiative. The role will require ability to develop contacts throughout investment, pensions and advice, and handle data.A little about us... Citywire helps people make better investments. We have fully embraced a hybrid model of working.Main responsibilities- Break exclusive and off-diary news on the titles website using research and relationships- Write compelling features and analysis using research, data and interviews- Show a willingness to develop multimedia content, with the view to presenting podcasts and film in our state-of-the-art media studio- Grow a contact book across the financial planning profession and investment industry- Coordinate with the wider team on larger projects while also working independently to develop and deliver analysis- Form an understanding of how investment funds work- Break news that matters to investors and interview high-profile figures in advice, pensions and fund managementJob specific skills / technical skills- Some journalism experience and education to degree level or equivalent- Interest in financial journalism and a desire to learn- An existing understanding and knowledge of finance and its core functions is an advantage- Broadcast and podcast journalism - training can be providedWho we areHonesty,integrity,fairnessandrespectare four core values.
