Job Description

Wealth Manager is currently hiring a Reporter to join Citywires vibrant editorial team. In this role you will play a core role in the production of investment content for our sophisticated audience.Candidates will need to be resourceful, communicative and able to meet tight deadlines with efficient and eye-catching copy.You will join our fast-paced editorial team, writing for our fortnightly Citywire Wealth Manager magazine and our website. This role will be based mainly in our London editorial office and permitted to work 2/3 days from home.Citywire employs around 240+ people with offices inLondon, Brighton,New York,Munich,MilanandSingapore. The company provides news, information and insight for professional advisers and investors whilst organising market-leading events around the world.As a reporter on Wealth Manager, you will have clear and consistent coordination with the team and ability to work on your own initiative. The role will require ability to develop and maintain contacts throughout the investment industry.Main responsibilities- Cover industry news, both on the investment and corporate side.- Write compelling features and analysis and show a willingness to develop multimedia content, with the view to presenting podcasts and film in our state-of-the-art media studio.- Grow a contact book across the investment industry.- Coordinate with the wider team on larger projects while also working independently to develop and deliver analysis.- Form an understanding of a wide array of asset classes such as bonds, equities and alternatives.- Break news that matters to investors and interview the fund managers they trust to generate returns on behalf of their clients.Job specific skills / requirements- Some journalism experience and education to degree level or equivalent- Interest in financial journalism and a desire to learn- An existing understanding and knowledge of finance and its core functions is an advantage- Broadcast and podcast journalism - training can be provided.Competitive salary and additional company benefits:- 25 days holiday per annum (rising to 28 days after three years’ service followed by 30 days after five years’ service) plus bank holidays,- Competitive private pension scheme,- Well-being: access to an independent Employee Assistance Programme available 24/7,- Wellbeing activities and subsidised gym options.
