Job Description

Join us as a Repo & Risk Transformation Vice President

  • Well look to you to support the structuring and execution of Repo & Risk Transformation transactions, undertaking research and analysis, and developing marketing ideas and materials in support of structuring activities
  • Joining Repo & Risk Transformation Structuring (R&RT), youll be responsible for innovating and structuring fixed income trades, helping convert existing trade opportunities, while working towards an ambitious financial budget with growth aspirations
  • This is an opportunity to gain exposure as you work with customers across the globe, including clients, client facing teams, Trading, Compliance and Conduct, and other NatWest Markets functions
What youll doThis role on the global structuring desk, will provide a broad product remit, encompassing margined financing across a range of asset classes and credit solutions. These will include, providing secured funding to clients and raising secured funding in a rangeof formats, structured risk distribution, repackaging and RWA mitigation. Your main focus will be on secured fund-raising across a broad product, counterparty and structural mix. In order to support the structuring and execution of transactions, youll interact constructively with clients, Trading, Origination and support functions.As such, youll pitch, analyse, negotiate, and review potential transactions and identify structural risks. Youll also be:
  • Taking all reasonable steps to make sure structuring activities are in line with our policies covering conduct, operational, credit, and regulatory risks
  • Supporting senior structurers in developing and maintaining client relationships, income streams, or new business opportunities
  • Providing project management support to senior structurers, driving transactions through to completion with effective management of internal and external stakeholders
  • Providing proposals, ideas, and structures for risk and capital management to clients, client-facing teams and Trading & Portfolio Management
  • Developing new structures, products, and business opportunities in line with risk appetite
The skills youll needTo thrive in this role, youll need the ability to collaborate effectively across the business at all levels, paired with experience of working within a team towards common goals and objectives. As well as the ability to quantitatively evaluate transactions and dissect documentation to identify and explain structural risks, youll also bring front office and client-facing experience in financial, or a related professional services. Additionally, youll need:
  • Practical knowledge of core banking regulations or accounting principles
  • Presenting and negotiating skills
  • The ability to process multi-faceted commercial projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills, with key attention to detail
