Job Description

Origin is a US-based venture backed financial wellness company providing financial education and guidance to employees everywhere. We work with employers to provide financial wellness as a benefit to their employees all over the world.We are looking for financial planners in the UK to work with us to provide financial guidance on a part time basis. This is a fully remote contractor position. You set your own availability and there is no selling involved.Requirements:

  • 5 years experience ideally in an IFA/Personal Tax Advisory setting (open to consideration if needed)
  • Must be appropriately qualified, ideally one of the following but not limited to; DipPFS/APFS/FPFS/CTA/ACA/ACCA/CA
  • Good general understanding of personal finance in the UK and ideally exposed to a broad range of common financial planning areas i.e. pensions, savings vehicles such as ISAs and general accounts, investments, state benefits.
  • Understanding of the UK tax system (particularly income tax and its interaction with state benefits and tapering of various allowances, capital gains tax, dividend tax)
  • A good knowledge of the financial planning process and issues at various stages of a clients life and must be confident in speaking to individuals in regard to the above
  • Planner should have a basic understanding of the difference between guidance and advice and the FCAs view on this area
    • The planners cannot give any recommendations or advice that would fall under FCAs regulated topics (investments, insurance, pension investments, etc)
  • Ideally some knowledge of share option schemes, how they work, and the tax treatment involved
  • 5 hour a week minimum availability
